THE KELP STORE

The Kelp Store Heritage and Arts Centre is owned and managed by the Papay Development Trust. It provides a home for the Papay archive and cultural and craft events on the island. The centre is a fantastic, sensitive restoration of a storage facility for kelp dating back to the early 1800's. Opened in June 2016 the centre hosts annual events such as the ØY Festival of Islands, weekly community events, and other cultural events through the year.
